A Piaggio lacks complete the range of its high-wheel scooters to cover the gap between the Liberty and economic Beverly elegant but very expensive. In the Motorcycle Show in Milan (EICMA) the Italian firm ends the waiting introducing the new Medley, an "almost perfect" model.
Just take a look at the lines you can see the attention to detail that those responsible for its development have had time to draw it. It is sleek, compact and stylish, sporting LED technology for the daytime running lights and the rear pilot, many chrome elements and a high-quality plastics.
The standard equipment is another of the virtues of the new member, including the ABS braking system two-channel disc brakes on both axles, full instrumentation with digital display, large glove behind the shield with socket 12v, preparation Piaggio Multimedia Platform for antitheft system and immobilizer.
Another positive points of the new Medley is in its mechanical i-GET 125cc 4-valve electronic injection and water cooled. The Italian firm has worked to get good acceleration and low fuel consumption. While the power is below the limit of 15 CV (stays at 12.2 hp), the Stop & Start system as standard reduces spending city, its main center of action.
The high-wheel scooter increasingly are most popular in Europe and hence the offer is so extensive. In the Medley it has used a 16-inch tire for the front wheel, and a 14-inch for the rear, which is necessary if it is to achieve a high load capacity.
The Medley will be offered in some countries a version with 150cc but at least in Spain is scheduled for release by being too close to the 125i and meaningless. Neither prices have been reported but being positioned between Libery and Beverly, the Medley could be around 2,600 / 2,700 €.
